Johann Gottfried arrived in SA from Silesia in 1849 to begin the Australian chapter of the Beer family. This wine is made in his honour. Sourced from single estate Barossa fruit, this Shiraz is deep and vibrant red flashes of purple, joined by concentrated aromas and flavours of ripe plum and blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate. With a subtle hint of vanilla towards the end of the pallet this Shiraz is beautifully layered in flavour. The fruit displays ripe, silky tannins and bright acidity for a full but supple palate.
