Made from the juice of unripe grapes, Verjuice is a gentle acidulant that can be substituted wherever you might find lemon juice or vinegar too harsh in flavour. Maggie and Colin first produced Verjuice in the early 80s after Maggie kept reading about 'verjus' in French provincial cookbooks. At the time, there was an oversupply of rhine riesling grapes in the Barossa and making Verjuice was a way of utilising these unwanted grapes.

Verjuice has a subtle grape flavour that highlights the natural taste of ingredients when used in cooking and lends itself to almost any dish, sweet or savoury. It adds a wonderful 'brightness' to food.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigerate after opening.
